The list of artists participating in the 2019 In Residence on Broadway series at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre continues to grow as acclaimed singer-songwriter Regina Spektor has been added to the line-up and is set to make her Broadway debut with five intimate concerts from June 20 through to June 26, 2019.

Ms. Spektor commented: "I am so inspired as I plan these five nights on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne, a beautiful old theater with a rich history. One of the things I'm most excited about is the chance to explore theatrical elements within my concert show. This isn't a 'Broadway Show,' and yet it's not a tour concert, either. I'm revisiting all the songs I've ever written, to see how some of them might group together and connect into a show. I am thinking up some fun ways to incorporate special guests as well. I'll be rotating the solo songs quite a bit between the dates, and I'm finding ways to reimagine many of them. Some haven't been played since my days of playing bars, cafes and open mics. So far the plan is to set up at the Lunt-Fontanne, and in my own small way, pay homage to Broadway!"

Regina Spektor was born in the Soviet Union and emigrated to the United States at the age of nine. She first rose to fame with her gold-certified LP Begin to Hope which includes hit singles "On the Radio," "Better," and "Fidelity." She also enjoyed great commericial success with her fifth album, Far (2009)and sixth album, What We Saw From the Cheap Seats (2012), which both debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Theatre fans may also know Spektor from her work on the Hamilton Mixtape, appearing on the remix track of "Dear Theodosia," whilst television audiences might recognise her voice from her theme song for "Orange is the New Black" on Netflix, entitled "You've Got Time".

Regina Spektor: Live on Broadway features lighting design by Tony and Emmy Award nominee Mike Baldassari and sound design by five-time Tony Award nominee Peter Hylenski and Tony Award nominee Garth Helm.

Other artists set to play residencies at the Lunt-Fontanne this May and June include Morrissey (from May 2 to May 11) and Yanni (from May 28 to June 2), with additional artists to be announced in the coming weeks.

In Residence on Broadway is produced by Live Nation, The Arca Group and EBG (Entertainment Benefits Group).
