Heidi Blickenstaff and Morgan Dudley join 'Jagged Little Pill,' as full cast announced
The show will resume performances at the Broadhurst Theatre October 21.
You oughta know the cast of Jagged Little Pill! The musical has announced its full reopening cast, with new cast members Heidi Blickenstaff and Morgan Dudley stepping into lead roles alongside most of the original Broadway cast.
Blickenstaff will play the role of Mary Jane Healy while original cast member Elizabeth Stanley, who is Tony-nominated for the role, is on maternity leave. Beginning in November, when Stanley returns on a limited schedule, the two women will share the role. Also joining the company is Morgan Dudley, making her Broadway debut in the role of Frankie Healy. She replaces original cast member Celia Rose Gooding, who also received a Tony nomination for her performance. Gooding has departed Jagged Little Pill to play Uhura in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds on television.
Returning principal cast members include Tony nominee Derek Klena as Nick Healy, Tony nominee Sean Allan Krill as Steve Healy, Tony nominee Kathryn Gallagher as Bella, Tony nominee Lauren Patten as Jo, and Antonio Cipriano as Phoenix.
The Jagged Little Pill ensemble includes newcomers Runako Campbell, Janine DiVita, Veronica Otim, Wren Rivera, and Grace Slear, and returning members Annelise Baker, Yeman Brown, Jane Bruce , John Cardoza, Ken Wulf Clark, Laurel Harris, Logan Hart, Zach Hess, Max Kumangai, Heather Lang, Kelsey Orem, DeAnne Stewart, and Kei Tsuruharatani.
The musical features the music of Alanis Morrisette's landmark 1995 album, Jagged Little Pill, and sets it to an original story by Diablo Cody about a suburban American family. The seemingly perfect Healys struggle with imperfect lives behind closed doors. The production originally opened on Broadway in December 2019 and became the most-Tony-nominated musical of the 2019-2020 season. Jagged Little Pill resumes performances October 21 at the Broadhurst Theatre.
