Eddie and Dave extends limited engagement at Atlantic Stage 2
Atlantic Theater Company's world premiere of Eddie and Dave will now play its final performance on February 17, 2019.
Atlantic Theater Company has announced a 1-week extension for its current world premiere of Eddie and Dave, written by and starring Amy Staats and directed byMargot Bordelon, which began previews at Atlantic Stage 2 on January 10, 2019, before an official opening on January 22. The limited engagement will now run through to February 17, 2019 (instead of February 10).
Synopsis: "A raucous retelling of the rise and fall of Pasadena’s most groundbreaking 80s rockers told through the foggy lens of a lonely, out of work MTV-VJ. Eddie and Dave is a gender-bending new play about hubris, friendship, family, fame, musical genius and what happens when the person you need is the one you find most irritating."
Joining Amy Staats (as Eddie), are fellow cast members Megan Hill (as Dave), Vanessa Aspillaga (as MTV DJ), Omer Abbas Salem (as Val), and Adina Verson (as Al).
The creative team of Eddie and Dave features scenic design by Reid Thompson, costume design by Montana Levi Blanco, lighting design by Jiyoun Chang, sound design by Palmer Hefferan, projection design by Shawn Boyle, original compositions by Michael Thurber, hair & wig design by Cookie Jordan, and fight direction by Mike Rossmy.
Atlantic's next production at the Linda Gross Theater is the US premiere of Florian Zeller's The Mother, translated by Christopher Hampton, directed by Trip Cullman and starring Academy Award nominee Isabelle Huppert. Previews begin on February 20, 2019, ahead of an official opening on March 11 and a limited run through to April 7, 2019.
