Daughter of a Cuban Revolutionary at DR2 Theatre

INTAR Theatre present Daughter of a Cuban Revolutionary, a one-woman play written and performed by Marissa Chibas, opening at DR2 Theatre on 13 May 2007, following previews from 9 May and running through to 2 Jun 2007.

The true story of one of Cuban's most powerful families, Daughter of a Cuban Revolutionary tells an astonishing tale centered on three towering figures in the life of protean performer Marissa Chibas: her father, Raul Chibas, who cowrote the manifesto for the Cuban Revolution with Fidel Castro; her uncle, Eddy Chibas, who was the frontrunner for the Cuban presidency in 1951, before committing suicide during a live radio broadcast; and her mother, Dalia Chibas, Miss Cuba runner-up in 1959.

Set design by Dan Evans, with costumes by Karen Murk, lighting by Rebecca M. K. Makus and sound by Colbert S. Davis IV.
