It's official! Tony Award nominee and West End star Adrienne Warren will reprise her current London performance as Tina Turner in the Broadway premiere of the smash hit bio-musical Tina: The Tina Turner Musical this fall.

On the Broadway casting news, Tina Turner commented: "I'm so proud of everything that Adrienne has achieved over the last year in the West End. She has given it everything she's got, she has poured her soul into it, and she deserves every success. I am thrilled she will be reprising her role in New York, and I cannot wait to see her on that Broadway stage on Opening Night".

Ms. Warren also released the following statement: "Working on this show has been a life-changing experience for me. Tina's unshakable courage, grace and determination have been our constant inspiration, and I am honored to have had the opportunity to be part of this telling of her story. It has been an amazing year in London, working with the incredible Phyllida Lloyd, Katori Hall and the creative team, in a city that has welcomed me with open arms. Returning home to Broadway, in this role and in this show, is a dream come true".

Adrienne Warren starred as Lorrell Robinson in the 2009 National Tour of Dreamgirls, before taking on the role of Danielle in the 2011 National Tour of Bring It On The Musical, reprising the role (and making her Broadway debut) in the Broadway premiere in 2012. Her big break came after being cast in Shuffle Along, Or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed and earning a Tony Award nomination for her performance in 2016.

Ms. Warren recently took part in our first "5 Questions from Over the Pond" feature with Summer: The Donna Summer Musical star and Tony Award nominee Ariana DeBose... Check out Adrienne's answers here.
