A development reading of Alice in Neverland will take place today, June 16, combining the storylines of Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan. The musical features a book, music and lyrics by Phil Kenny and Reston Williams, with the musical acting as both a sequel and a prequel to the respective stories.

Character names have not been revealed, but Christy Altomare is said to lead the company, previously playing the title role in Anastasia at the Broadhurst Theatre. She's joined by Heath Saunders, Will Swenson, Megan Masako Haley, Alistair Brammer and Timothy Hughes.

Also participating in the reading are M. Chase Grant, Kurt Hellerich, Claire Wilkins Kenny, Lisa Larsen, Mack, Beatriz Melo, Ryan Simmons, Scout Smith, Matt Walker, Kim Williams and Clotile Yanna.

Alice in Neverland is the latest musical to confirm development readings. A Broadway adaptation of The Nanny is also in the works
