Virtual Broadway flea market to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS

The online auction includes collectible items and meet and greet experiences with the Great White Way's brightest stars.

UPDATE: The 2020 Broadway Flea Market and Grand Auction raised $316,282 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

One of Broadway's well-known annual events will go online for the first time this year, as the Broadway Flea Market and Grand Auction becomes virtual. Scheduled for September 20, members of the public can bid on meet and greets with critically-acclaimed performers, raising money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Among the 85 silent auction lots found here include:

- One-to-one conversations with Tony Award-winning actors including Sutton Foster, Patti LuPone and Ben Platt.

- Opening night tickets to some of Broadway's awaited shows, including Plaza Suite and The Music Man.

- Signed items by Bryan Cranston, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Kristin Chenoweth up for grabs.

- Live video chats are also available with actors including Tina the Musical's Adrienne Warren, Hadestown's Eva Noblezada and Andrew Rannells.

Silent auction items will remain up for bid until 5pm Eastern Time on September 20. After this, the bidding battle goes live on Zoom.

The Broadway Flea Market and Grand Auction will raise money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, raising money for essential services for those living with HIV/AIDS. This year, money raised will also help those impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic.

In 2019, the Broadway Flea Market and Grand Auction raised $870,167. In the event's 33-year history, the event has raised $15.4 million.
