Vineyard Theatre and WP Theater announce 'sandblasted' Off-Broadway casting

The show will run from February 3 to March 6.

The world premiere of Charly Evon Simpson's sandblasted has found its cast. The co-production from Vineyard Theatre and WP Theater will go up at Vineyard Theatre from February 3 to March 6, with an opening night of February 22.

Khandi Alexander, Marinda Anderson, Brittany Bellizeare, and Andy Lucien will star in the play. Anderson and Bellizeare will respectively star as Odessa and Angela, two women who are determined to "make a way out of no way" and find what they're looking for, even though it might not be real. They meet the celebrity and wellness guru Adah, played by Anderson, and begin to follow her lead, and the journey she leads them on might help them discover what they need. Additionally, Lucien stars as the character Jamal.

The sandblasted creative team includes set designer Matt Saunders, costume designer Montana Levi Blanco, lighting designer Stacey Derosier, sound designer Sadah Espii Proctor, and hair and wig designer Cookie Jordan. Summer L. Williams directs the production.
