Urinetown - the Musical at Cap21

CAP21 Conservatory, the musical theater training studio serving New York University's Tisch School of the Arts is to present Urinetown - the Musical music and lyrics by Mark Hollman, with book and lyrics by Greg Kotis, at CAP21 from 25 Oct - 5 Nov 2007.

What is Urinetown? The question runs through this 2002 Tony Award-winning musical, which manages to be self-deprecating and terrifyingly relevant at the same time. The musical takes place in a future in which water supplies have so dried up that it is truly a Privilege to Pee, and all bathrooms are controlled by a large, heartless corporation.

Urinetown is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).

Directed by CAP21 Alum Steve Bebout and choreographed by Mia Price, Urinetown will be performed by students from the CAP21 Conservatory: Michael August, Cornell Bar, Larkin Bogan, Emily Cramer, Hadley Cronk, Jay DeYonker, Kelly Felthous, F. Michael Haynie, Jacob Hoffman, Liana Hunt, Collin Leydon, Marissa Lupp, Kevin Metzger, Stefanie OConnell, Erin Rice, Juan Torres-Falcon, Morgan Weishar, Alyse Wojciechowski.

The design team comprises Courtney McClain (costumes) and Christopher Brown (lighting).
