"Twelve Angry Men" extends one final week to the 3 Apr

Roundabout Theatre Companys Artistic Director, Todd Haimes announces a one-week extension of the Broadway premiere production of Reginald Roses drama Twelve Angry Men directed by Scott Ellis at the American Airlines Theatre now through to the 3 Apr, 2005.

The show will definately close to make way for Passion Play which will preview at the American Airlines theatre from the 15 Apr.

The original limited engagement was through to 19 Dec 2004, a second extension was announced through to 2 Jan 2005, a third extension was announced through to 9th Jan and a fourth extension was announced through February 6th, with a fifth extension to the 27 Mar

Twelve Angry Men is now the longest running production at Roundabout's American Airlines Theatre since the theatre opened in 2000. The Women, starring Kristen Johnston, Cynthia Nixon and Jennifer Tilly was the longest running show at 13 weeks. By 3 Apr 2005, Twelve Angry Men will have played 26 weeks.

Twelve Angry Men is directed by Scott Ellis, and stars Tom Aldredge (Juror 9), Mark Blum (Juror 1), Philip Bosco (Juror 3), Larry Bryggman (Juror 11), Robert Clohessy (Juror 6), Peter Friedman (Juror 10), Boyd Gaines (Juror 8), Kevin Geer (Juror 2), Michael Mastro (Juror 5), Matte Osian (Guard), John Pankow (Juror 7), James Rebhorn (Juror 4), Adam Trese (Jurur 12).

Beginning February 1st, Robert Foxworth will assume the role of 'Juror 3' and Byron Jennings will assume the role of 'Juror 11'.

A young delinquent awaits sentencing for the manslaughter of his aggressive father. One juror feels that there is a reasonable doubt- to the frustration of his eleven colleagues - thus preventing a quick verdict. During the heated deliberations, the hidden preconceptions and assumptions of the jurors are revealed. When faced with playing the hangman, each juror is forced to face himself.
