Too Much Sun: Linda Lavin to star
Tony Award-winning actress Linda Lavin will star in the world premiere production of Nicky Silver's Too Much Sun, directed by Mark Brokaw, opening at the Vineyard Theatre on 20 May 2014, following previews from 01 May 2014.
Too Much Sun: Audrey Langham (Linda Lavin) - a celebrated actress - unravels completely while preparing for a new production of MEDEA. With nowhere else to go, she descends upon her married daughter for a summer by the sea. She is not, however, greeted with confetti and champagne, and her presence sets of a chain of unexpected events.
Levin last appeared at the Vineyard in 2011, where she starred as 'Rita Lyons' in Nicky Silver's 'The Lyons,' which was also directed by Mark Brokaw. Levin won a 2012 Obie Award for her performance, and went on to be nominated for a Tony Award when the show transferred to Broadway in 2012.

Levin won a Tony Award for her role as 'Kate' in 'Broadway Bound' and was nominated for Tony's for her appearances in 'Collected Stories,' 'The Tale of the Allergist's Wife,' 'The Diary of Anne Frank' and 'Last of the Red Hot Lovers.' She currently stars as "Lorna" in the TV sitcom "Sean Saves the World." Fir her TV work she is best known for "Alice Hyatt" in the comedy "Alice" for which she won a Golden Globe Award.
