'This Is How It Goes' : Amanda Peet joins cast.

The Public Theater have announced that Amanda Peet has joined the cast of This Is How It Goes, replacing Marisa Tomei who has withdrawn from the show due to personal family reasons.

Directed by George C. Wolfe, the world premiere of This Is How It Goes also stars Ben Stiller and Jeffrey Wright.

This Is How It Goes opens on the 27 Mar 2005 at the Public's Anspacher Theatre, following previews from the 10 Mar. The play is scheduled to close on the 17 Apr 2005.

In This Is How It Goes, Neil LaBute turns his savage observer�s eye to small town America, where an interracial love triangle sets off a fierce drama of manipulation, exploitation, infidelity, and passion.

Neil LaBute is the author of 'The Distance From Here', 'The Shape Of Things' and 'The Mercy Seat' amongst others. LaBute's play 'Fat Pig' recently played at the Lucille Lortel Theatre from the 23 Nov 2004 - 26 Feb 2005

Amanda Peet has appeared on stage in 'Whale Music' (Rattlestick Theater Company), 'The Country Club' (Long Wharf Theatre), 'Awake And Sing!' (Jewish Repertory Theatre; with Stephen Lang and Tovah Feldshuh), and 'Winter Lies', among others. She is well-known for her roles in such films as 'Something's Gotta Give' with Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton and 'The Whole Nine Yards' with Bruce Willis and Matthew Perry. Peet will next be seen in Woody Allen's 'Melinda and Melinda'. released later this month.
