The Vandal extends run by two weeks

The Flea Theater has announced a two week extension of their world premiere production of Hamish Linklater's The Vandal by two weeks, through to 03 Mar 2013.

The Vandal opened at the Flea Theatre on 31 Jan 2013, following previews from 18 Jan 2013, and was originally scheduled to close on 17 Feb 2013.

The play opened to fairly positive reviews: A modest but amiable comedy-drama (New York Times); Linklater's playwriting promise comes through forcefully. ... It's well worth your attention (Back Stage).

Directed by the Flea's founder and Artistic Director Jim Simson, The Vandal stars b>Deirdre O'Connell (Broadway: Magic/Bird, Off-Broadway: Circle Mirror Transformation), Zach Grenier (TV: The Good Wife) and Noah Robbins (Broadway: Arcadia).

The Vandal is set on a freezing night in Kingston, New York. A woman meets a boy at a bus stop. A play about how we live and the stories we tell ourselves when we're haunted by the people we've loved and lost.

The design team features David M. Barber (Set Designer), Brian Aldous (Lighting Designer), Claudia Brown (Costume Designer), Brandon Wolcott (Sound Designer) and James McSweeney (Props Master).
