The Scariest, four new plays, at the Green Room


The Exchange presents The Scariest, an evening of four horror plays, opening at the Green Room on 6 Mar 2008, following previews from 2 Mar and running through to 30 Mar 2008.

The Scariest:

  • Monkey's Paw
    Written Mark Schultz
    synopsis: If you had three wishes, what would you do? Just be careful what you wish for, a take on W.W. Jacobs classic.

  • Apothecary's Daughter
    Written by Nathaniel Hawthorne
    Synopsis: Have you ever met a poisonous woman? How close would you get? a take on Nathaniel Hawthorne's tale of love and death.

  • Revelations
    Written by Kristin Newbom
    Synopsis: What happens when your personal life invades your work? a take on the last book of The Bible.

  • Names of Foods
    Written by Gary Sunshine
    Synopsis: What depths do we go to save our own, not knowing what the future may hold? a take on Hans Christian Anderson's 'The Story of a Mother.

Directed by Ari Edelson and Meredith McDonough, The Scariest features Rebecca Brooksher, Angel Desai, Andy Grotelueschen, Jesse Hooker, Mandy Siegfried and Joaquin Torres.
