The Rise Of Dorothy Hale: History has recorded that Dorothy Hale, the widow of American muralist Gardner Hale, died in New York City on 21 Oct 1938 after plunging sixteen stories from her apartment window at the Hampshire House on Central Park South. She was thirty-three years old. Dorothys death was ruled a suicide. The story of Dorothy Hale has never really been thoroughly examined. Until now.

The play, now directed by Pamela Hall, The Rise Of Dorothy Hale features Michael Badalucco, Sarita Choudhury, Greg Hansen, Laura Koffman, Mark LaMura and Sarah Wynter.

The Rise Of Dorothy Hale was originally directed by Penny Templeton, but after four previews Templeton was replaced by Pamela Hall, wife and business partner of producer Edmund Gaynes. In responce Ms. Templeton engaged the entertainment law firm of Cowan, DeBaets, Abrahams & Sheppard LLP to advise her on this matter and protect her interests. After viewing a performance of the show, Ms Templeton is withdrawing request for billing as director.

Ms. Templeton stated, There are many ways to interpret a newly written play. I would not want to damage this current production. Myra Bairstow, the playwright has written a magnificent script. Myra and I worked together and shared a vision on this project for over 5 years. I wish her and the wonderful cast; Michael Badalucco, Patrick Boll, Sarita Choudhury, Laura Koffman, Mark La Mura, and Sarah Wynter, and Myra great success and a long run!

The design team comprises Josh Iacovelli (sets) and Graham Kindred (lighting).
