The Night Has A Thousand Eyes - Charles Cochran in cabaret at Danny's Skylight Room from the 7 - 29 May 2006

Charles Cochran will present a rotating selection of songs from the Great American Songbook including songs he has recorded by Burton Lane, Johnny Mercer, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Irving Berlin, Leonard Bernstein, Comden & Green, Brown & Kahn, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern and Charles Cochran.

Mr. Cochran, who has appeared at Jillys, Tavern on the Green, The Apartment, The Playroom (with Nina Simone), has recorded six popular albums including two for Fred Astaire's company Ava Records. He has 4 CDs currently in release: Haunted Heart and Charles Cochran Meets Bill Mays on Audiophile; The Saturn Sessions on CD Baby, and Charles Cochran Live in New York on his own Lanier Hall label.

He began his performing career during the glory days of the 1950s, befriending and working with legendary entertainers like Judy Garland, Anita O'Day, Jeri Southern and Nina Simone.

Despite retiring to West Palm Beach in the 80s, Charles Cochran was recently wooed back to performing, recreating the heyday of New York Cabaret when Blossom Dearie, Bobby Short and Charles Cochran himself, interpreted the classics with humor, truth, sophistication and elegance.
