The Morning after / The Night Before at the Lucille Lortel

Jeff Bienstock's new musical comedy The Morning After / The Night Before, directed by Diana Glazer, will get its World Premiere at the 2010 New York International Fringe Festival, playing at the Lucille Lortel Theatre from 18 - 28 Aug 2010.

In writer/composer Jeff Bienstock's farce, The Morning After / The Night Before a young man wakes up after a wild party to discover his best friend—an actress on the verge of getting married to an older man—lying asleep beside him. With the help of his friends, including a flaky attorney/drug dealer, a beautiful (but frigid) doctor, and a hot-to-trot guitarist with mother issues, our protagonist must overcome a whopping hangover to uncover the truth behind his fuzzy memories of the previous evening. The action bounces back and forth in time until not even the characters themselves are sure if they are experiencing the remorse of The Morning After . . . or the ecstasy of The Night Before.

The cast includes: Jed Resnick, Whit Baldwin, Jason Collins, Shira Gregory, Michelle K. Moore, Max Spitulnik and Meg Steedle, with guest stars at each performance.

The musical is being produced by Gillian Appleby and Melissa Heller.
