The Memory Show: new musical at the Duke
The Transport Group present the New York premiere of The Memory Game, book and lyrics by Sara Cooper and music by Zach Redler, opening at The Duke on 42nd Street on 30 Apr 2013, following previews from 16 Apr, and running through to 18 May 2013.
The Memory Game: Showing up is half the battle...and then there's the other half. When a daughter comes home to care for her aging mother, memory is only one of the land mines. Conflicting versions of the past collide in this portrait of a mother, a daughter, and their inescapable relationship.
Directed by Joe Calarco, The Memory Game stars Tony nominee Catherine Cox and Leslie Kritzer.
The creative team features music direction by Vadim Feichtner, set design by Brian Prather, costume design by Kathryn Rohe, lighting design by Chris Lee, sound design by Walter Trarbach and orchestrations by Lynn Shankel.
Catherine Cox was nominated for a Tony Award for 'Oh Coward!,' other Broadway credits include: 'Footloose,' 'Rumors,' 'Baby,' 'Shakespeare's Cabaret,' 'One Night Stand,' 'Barnum,' 'Oklahoma!,' 'Whoopee!' and 'Music Is.'
Leslie Kritzer recently starred on Broadway as 'Jovie' in 'Elf.' Other Broadway credits include 'Sondheim on Sondheim,' 'A Catered Affair,' 'Legally Blonde' and 'Hairspray.'
