Directed by Mark Brokaw, the show also stars 2012 Best Actress Tony nominee Linda Lavin, Dick Latessa, Kate Jennings Grant, Brenda Pressley and Gregory Wooddell.

The Lyons opened at Broadway's Cort Theatre on 23 Apr 2012, following previews from 5 Apr 201, where it is currently booking through to 2 Sep 2012.

The show opened to excellent reviews: Keeps you glued to your seat (newyorktheatreguide); It's comedy nirvana (NY Post); Darkly entertaining (Record); Barbed zinger of a play (Hollywood Reporter).

The Lyons tells the story about a family grappling with the death of its patriarch. When Ben Lyon's wife, Rita, and their grown children gather to say goodbye, they learn that despite being a family, each of them is utterly isolated. Afraid of closeness and afraid of solitude, Ben's death may be a catalyst that propels them into foreign territory human connection.

The Lyons opened Off-Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre where it played an extended run from 21 Sep 2011 - 20 Nov 2011. The cast, with the exception of new cast member Charlie Hofheimer, are all reprising their roles on Broadway.

The Vineyard Theatre production of The Lyons is presented on Broadway by Kathleen K. Johnson.
