The Library: Public announces complete cast
Emmy Nominee Lili Taylor, Tony nominee Jennifer Westfeldt, and more will join the previously announced Chloë Grace Moretz in the Public's world premiere production of Scott Z. Burns The Library, directed by Academy Award winner Steven Soderbergh.
The Library will open at the Public's Newman Stage on 22 Oct 2013, following previews from 30 Sep 2013 and run through to 30 Nov 2013.
The full cast features Chloë Grace Moretz (Caitlin Gabriel), Lili Taylor (Dawn Sheridan), Jennifer Westfeldt (Elizabeth Gabriel/Nurse), Ben Livingston (Reverend Dunston/ADA Thornton), Michael O'Keefe (Nolan Gabriel/Surgeon), Daryl Sabara (Ryan Mayes/Marshall Bauer), David Townsend (Publisher/Agent Murtaugh) and Tamara Tunie (Detective Gwen Washburn).
The Library: After Caitlin Gabriel survives a deadly shooting at her high school, she struggles to tell her story to her parents, the authorities and anyone who will listen. But there are other narratives that gain purchase in the media and paint her in a different light.
The creative team includes sets by Riccardo Hernandez, costumes by Gabriel Berry, lighting by David Lander and sound by Darron L West.

Chloë Grace Moretz (Caitlin Gabriel) began her acting career at the age of seven and has appeared in films such as "The Amityville Horror" (2005), "(500) Days of Summer" (2009), "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" (2010), "Kick-Ass" (2010), "Let Me In" (2010), "Hugo" (2011), "Dark Shadows" (2012), "Kick-Ass 2" (2013) and "Carrie" (2013). Her upcoming movies in 2014 are "Laggies" and "The Equalizer among others."
Lili Taylor (Dawn Sheridan) starred on Broadway in the 1997 revival of 'The Three Sisters.' Her Off-Broadway credits include 'Mourning Becomes Electra,' 'an oak tree,' 'Landscape of the Body,' 'Aunt Dan and Lemon,' 'Aven' U Boys' and 'What Did He See?.' She has been nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards for her guest appearances in "Six Feet Under" and "The X Files." Her other TV credits include "Almost Human," "Hemlock Grove," "State of Mind," "Six Feet Under" and "Deadline." Films include "Rasom," "The Haunting" and "The Conjuring."
Jennifer Westfeldt (Elizabeth Gabriel/Nurse) appeared on Broadway as 'Eileen Sherwood' on the 2003 revival of 'Wonderful Town' for which she was nominated for a Tony Award. Off-Broadway she has starred in 'The Explorers Club' and 'A Lifetime Burning.' TV credits include "Notes from the Underbelly," "24," "Holding the Baby" and "Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place." Films include "Kissing Jessica Stein" and "Friends with Kids."
Ben Livingston's (Reverend Dunston/ADA Thornton) Broadway credits are 'The Heiress,' 'One Man, Two Guvnors' and 'Mamma Mia!' Off-Broadway he starred in the 2009 revival of 'Our Town' directed by David Cromer.
Michael O'Keefe last appeared at The Public in 'The Killdeer.' On Broadway his credits include 'Reckless,' 'Side Man,' 'The Fifth of July' and 'Mass Appeal.' Off-Broadway includes 'McReele,' 'That Championship Season,' 'The Young Girl and the Monsoon' and 'Uncle Vanya.' On TV he recently starred as "FBI Agent Frank Rigby" in "King & Maxwell." He was nominated for an Academy Award for his role as "Ben Meechum" in "The Great Santini."
Daryl Sabara (Ryan Mayes/Marshall Bauer) TV credits include "Generator Rex," "Weeds," "Easy to Assemble" and "Father of the Pride." He is best known for playing "Juni Cortez" in the "Spy Kids" film series, as well as for a variety of television and film appearances, including "Generator Rex," "Wizards of Waverly Place," "Father of the Pride," "The Polar Express," "Keeping Up with the Steins" and "Halloween."
David Townsend (Publisher/Agent Murtaugh) has appeared Off-Broadway in 'Twelfth Night' and 'Hamlet.'
Tamara Tunie (Detective Gwen Washburn) has appeared at The Public in the Shakespeare in the Park production of 'Troilus and Cressida.' Her Broadway acting credits include 'Julius Caesar' and 'Oh, Kay!' Off-Broadway she has appeared in 'an oak tree,' 'Call the Children Home,' 'Sheba,' 'Troilus and Cressida' and 'Loose Knit.' For her TV work she is most probably best known for her portrayal of attorney "Jessica Griffin" on the CBS soap opera "As the World Turns" and medical examiner "Melinda Warner" on the NBC police drama "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." Her film credits include 'Flight,' 'The Devil's Advocate' and 'Wall Street.'
