An immersive theatre adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby will receive its American premiere in New York later this year. The Great Gatsby is set to bring the party atmosphere to the theatre, with performance dates to be confirmed.

Inspired by the seminal Fitzgerald novel, The Great Gatsby sees Jay Gatsby invite audiences to one of his parties. Throughout the show, audiences are invited into side stories with Daisy and Tom, as the main action unfolds.

The Great Gatsby is written and directed by Alexander Wright. It's produced by Immersive Everywhere, Hartshorn - Hook Productions and Broadway International Group. Ahead of the New York performances, producers Louis Hartshorn and Brian Hook said, "The Great Gatsby is finally coming to its spiritual home in New York. Dark, hedonistic, literary and theatrical, this immersive telling of one of the world's greatest novels brings audiences closer to Jay Gatsby's opulent world than ever before."

In a review of The Great Gatsby on LondonTheatre.co.uk, "Everything you'd expect from a show set in the 1920s is there: the Charleston, the bob hair cuts, the constant talk about motor cars. But it's missing the exorbitant lavishness that you get from the original."
