The Good Negro at the Public's Shiva Theater


The Public Theater, in association with LAByrinth Theater Company, present The Good Negro, the fifth play of the inaugural PUBLIC LAB initiative, by Tracey Scott Wilson, at the Public's Shiva Theater from 20 May - 1 Jun 2008.

The Good Negro: A trio of emerging black leaders tries to conquer their individual demons as the local KKK fights for its old way of life and everyday black men and women must overcome their fears � all under the ever-watchful eye of the FBI.

Directed by Liesl Tommy, The Good Negro features Joniece Abbott-Pratt, Francois Battiste, J. Bernard Calloway, Lizzy Cooper Davis, Anthony Mackie, LeRoy McClain, Brian Wallace and Myk Watford.

The creative team comprises Clint Ramos (sets & costumes), Lap Chi Chu (lighting) and Daniel Baker (Sound).
