The Book of Mormon: Nic Rouleau and Ben Platt
Nic Rouleau and Ben Platt, who currently star as 'Elder Price' and 'Elder Cunningham' in the national touring company of The Book of Mormon, are to star in the roles on Broadway in Jan 2013, according to their tweets. They will asume their roles from Matt Doyle (Elder Price) and Cody Jamison Strand (Elder Cunningham). There has been no official confirmation.
Nic Rouleau tweeted "Thrilled to announce that Heavenly Father is sending me back to Broadway to serve another mission at @BookofMormon in January!!", and his co-star Ben Platt tweeted "Bursting with excitement to finally announce that I will be joining the Broadway company of @BookofMormon this January!!"
Nic Rouleau has previously understudied the role of 'Elder Price' on Broadway. His credits include starring as 'Emmett' in the national touring company production of 'Legally Blonde' and as 'Woody' in the national touring company of Toy Story: The Musical.
Ben Platt will make his Broadway debut as 'Elder Cunningham.' He made his onscreen debut in the 2012 movie "Pitch Perfect." His theayte credits include the national touring production of 'Caroline, or Change'.
The Book of Mormon opened on Broadway at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre on 24 Mar 2011, following previews from 24 Feb, and is currently booking through to 19 Oct 2014.

The principal cast for The Book of Mormon currently stars Cody Jamison Strand (Elder Cunningham), Matt Doyle (Elder Price), Nikki M. James (Nabalungi), Matt Loehr (Elder McKinley), Stanley Wayne Mathis (Mafala Hatimbi), Lewis Cleale (Missionary Training Center Voice/ Price's Dad, Joseph Smith, Mission President) and Brian Tyree Henry (General).
The Book of Mormon features book, music and lyrics by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone. Parker and Stone are the four-time Emmy Award-winning creators of Comedy Central's landmark animated series, "South Park". Tony Award-winner Lopez is composer and co-creator of the long-running hit musical comedy, 'Avenue Q.'
The musical won nine 2011 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and has been a box office hit with a regular house attendence of 102%.
The show is choreographed by Casey Nicholaw and directed by Nicholaw and Trey Parker - joint winners of the 2011 Tony Award for best direction of a musical.
The Book of Mormon's creative team features set design by Scott Pask, costume design by Ann Roth, lighting design by Brian MacDevitt and sound design by Brian Ronan. Orchestrations are by Larry Hochman. Music supervision is by Stephen Oremus.
