The 2017 Tony Awards: And the Nominees are...

The nominations for The 71st Annual Tony Awards were announced today at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. The New York Theatre Guide was invited to attend the announcment, where Tony winner Jane Krakowski and Tony nominee Christopher Jackson had the honor of revealing this Broadway season's desrving nominees. The Broadway premiere of Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 led the pack with a total of 12 nominations, closely followed by the Broaway revival of the Bette Midler-led Hello, Dolly! with 10 nominations and the Broadway transfer of Bette Midler-led Dear Evan Hansen with 9 nominations. The most nominated play of this Broadway season is Lucas Hnath's A Doll's House, Part 2 with 8 nominations.

The Awards ceremony will be hosted by Tony and Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at New York's Radio CIty Music Hall and will be broadcast live on CBS.
