Small Engine Repair: full cast announced

MCC Theater have announced that James Badge Dale ("World War Z," HBO's "The Pacific"), James Ransone (HBO's "The Wire") and Keegan Allen ("Pretty Little Liars") - in is preofessional stage debut - have joined playwright John Pollono in the cast of the New York Premiere of Pollono's Small Engine Repair.

Dale and Ransone replace the previously announced Jon Bernthal and Christopher Fitzgerald who are no longer continuing with the production due to scheduling conflicts.

Small Engine Repair will open at the Lucille Lortel Theatre on 18 Nov 2013, following previews from 30 Oct 2013, and close on 08 Dec 2013. The dark comedy had previously been scheduled for MCC's 2012-13 Season.

In Small Engine Repair, former high school buddies Frank (Pollono), Swaino (Dale) and Packie (Ransone) meet off-hours in Frank's out-of-the-way repair shop under cloudy circumstances that only Frank has a handle on. Enter Chad (Allen), a plugged-in, privileged college jock, whose arrival sets off an explosion of long-simmering resentment in this taut, twisty, comic thriller.

The play won the Los Angeles Drama Critics Award for Playwriting when it had its world premiere in 2011 at L.A.'s Rogue Machine Theatre.
