Small Engine Repair extends for a second time
MCC Theater have announced a second one-week extention of their New York Premiere of John Pollono'sdark comedy Small Engine Repair which will now play through to 21 Dec 2013.
The play opened at the Lucille Lortel Theatre on 20 Nov 2013, following previews rom 30 Oct 2013. The show was originally scheduled to close on 08 Dec 2013.
The dark comedy opened to mostly excellent reviews: A shivery, funny revenge comedy (NY Times); Tawdry, nasty and fun (NY Post); A nifty piece of suspense writing that keeps you hooked all the way (Record).
In Small Engine Repair, former high school buddies Frank (Pollono), Swaino (Dale) and Packie (Ransone) meet off-hours in Frank's out-of-the-way repair shop under cloudy circumstances that only Frank has a handle on. Enter Chad (Allen), a plugged-in, privileged college jock, whose arrival sets off an explosion of long-simmering resentment in this taut, twisty, comic thriller.
Directed by Jo Bonney, Small Engine Repair stars Keegan Allen (Chad), James Badge Dale (Swaino), John Pollono (Frank) and James Ransone (Packie).
Small Engine Repair won the Los Angeles Drama Critics Award for Playwriting when it had its world premiere in 2011 at L.A.'s Rogue Machine Theatre.
