'SIDES: The Fear is Real' extends for five extra performances


Mr. Miyagi's Theatre Company's presentation of SIDES: The Fear is Real, a comedy about the trials of actors in their search for employment, extends for five performances at The Culture Project, the show will now close on the 30 Oct 2005.

SIDES: The Fear is Real opened at The Culture Project on the 25 Aug 2005, following previews from the 18 Aug. The comedy was originally scheduled to close on the 27 Oct 2005.

In SIDES: The Fear is Real, which was originally produced by Ma-Yi Theater Company in New York, the audience follows six, hopeful actors in their quest for entertainment employment through true life audition nightmares. Terrible scripts, psychotic casting directors, and competitive colleagues all stand in their way. In a series of comedic vignettes and scenes, these brave actors face their fears and almost triumph!

SIDES: The Fear is Real is performed by Sekiya Billman, Jane Cho, Paul H, Juhn, Peter Kim, Hoon Lee and Rodney To.

SIDES: The Fear is Real was written by Sekiya Billman, Cindy Cheung, Paul H. Juhn, Peter Kim, Hoon Lee & Rodney To, and is directed by Anne Kauffman, with a creative team that includes David Korins (set design), John-Paul Szczepanski (light design) and Elizabeth Flauto (costume design).

SIDES: The Fear is Real is produced by Mr. Miyagi's Theatre Company in association with The Culture Project and REL2 Productions.
