See new photos of 'Ragtime' on Broadway
The second NYC revival of the American musical epic comes to Lincoln Center Theater following a critically acclaimed, limited Off-Broadway run in 2024.
It was the music of something beginning. Ragtime is now in Broadway performances, and new photos are available of the sweeping production at Lincoln Center Theater's Vivian Beaumont Theater.
Blending fictional characters with real historical figures, Ragtime follows three early-20th-century social groups — white, Black, and immigrant New Yorkers — as their paths collide while each chasing their own American dream. Adapted from the 1975 E. L. Doctorow novel, Ragtime premiered in 1998 and won Tony Awards for its book (by Terrence McNally) and score (by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens).
The current production premiered off Broadway at New York City Center in 2024, and much of the acclaimed cast returns. The Ragtime Broadway cast is led by Joshua Henry as Coalhouse Walker Jr., Caissie Levy as Mother, Tony Award winner Brandon Uranowitz as Tateh, Colin Donnell as Father, Ben Levi Ross as Younger Brother, Shaina Taub as Emma Goldman, Nichelle Lewis as Sarah, John Clay III as Booker T. Washington, Rodd Cyrus as Harry Houdini, Anna Grace Barlow as Evelyn Nesbit, Nick Barrington as The Little Boy, and Tabitha Lawing as The Little Girl.
