Satellites at the Public's Martinson Theater


The Public Theater presents the world premiere of Satellites, a comedy by Diana Son, opening at the Public's Martinson Theater on the 18 Jun 2006, following previews from the 30 May and running through to the 2 Jul 2006.

Satellites: New parents Nina and Miles, an interracial couple, move into a transforming neighborhood in Brooklyn. They have a new house, a new baby, and only one of them has a job. Old friends and new strangers come into their lives, testing their instincts on who to trust and why.

The cast for Satellites, directed by Michael Greif, features Kevin Carroll, Johanna Day, Ron Cephas Jones, Satya Lee, Sandra Oh, and Clarke Thorell.

The production has sets by Mark Wendland, costumes by Miranda Hoffman, lighting by Kenneth Posner and sound by Walter Trarbach.

Satellites was commissioned by The Public Theater. In 2004, it was presented in New Work Now!, The Public�s annual series that showcases new work from emerging and established artists. The world premiere is part of The Public�s 50th Anniversary season.
