Roundabout reveals cast and director of Kingdom Come
As previously reported, the Roundabout Underground series will begin this season with the world premiere of Kingdom Come, written by Jenny Rachel Weiner, which begins previews at the Black Box Theatre at Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre on 7 October 2016, before an official opening on 2 November and a limited engagement through to 18 December 2016.
It has now been announced that Kip Fagan will direct a cast that includes (in alphabetical order) Brooke Bloom (Layne), Carmen M. Herlihy (Samantha Carlin), Alex Hernandez (Dominick Aquendo), Socorro Santiago (Delores Aquendo) and Stephanie Styles (Suz).
Synopsis: "Samantha is lonely and confined to her bed. Layne is shy and too afraid of the world to journey into it. When both women decide that online dating might be the outlet they need, they venture into the wilds of the Internet and find deep connection in each other. The only problem: they're each pretending to be someone else. What happens when the feelings are real but the people are not?"
The creative team behind Kingdom Come has also been announced and features scenic design by Arnulfo Maldonado, costume design by Tilly Grimes, lighting design by Thom Weaver, sound design by Daniel Perelstein and projections by Darrel Maloney.
A second 'Roundabout Underground' production for Spring 2017 will be announced at a later date.
