The Roundabout Theatre Company presents the NY debut of Stephen Karam's newest drama The Humans, directed by Joe Mantello, which will begin performances off-Broadway at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold & Miriam Steinberg Centre for Theatre in Fall 2015.

Synopsis: "After a sleepless night, Mr. Blake has brought his family from Pennsylvania to celebrate Thanksgiving at his daughter's new apartment. As darkness falls outside the crumbling pre-war duplex, mysterious things start to go bump in the night and family tensions reach a boiling point. Stephen Karam takes a look at the hilarity, heart and horrors of the modern American family."

The cast and creative team of The Humans will be announced at a later date.

This marks playwright and Pulitzer Prize finalist Stephen Karam's second commission by The Roundabout Theatre Company, as part of their New Play Initiative. His first commission came in the form of his 2011 offering 'Sons of the Prophet'. His 2007 play 'Speech & Debate' also featured as the inaugural production of the Roundabout Underground program.

The cast and creative team of The Humans, along with exact dates for the production, will be announced at a later date.
