Roundabout announces 2013/2014 season

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced its 2013-14 season of plays. Each season, Roundabout offers revivals of classic plays and musicals as well as development and production of new works by established playwrights and emerging writers.

 

 

The 2013-14 season will include:

Broadway: Theatre to be announced

The Winslow Boy
Playwright: Terence Rattigan
Director: Lindsay Posner
Synopsis: Driven by a passionate belief in justice whatever the personal cost, Arthur Winslow sets out to prove his son's innocence when he is accused of theft.
Cast: Roger Rees, further cast to be announced.

Broadway: American Airlines Theatre

Dinner With Friends
Playwright: Donald Margulies
Director: Pam MacKinnon
Synopsis: About two couples who do everything together, until one marriage unexpectedly crumbles and their lives veer in opposite directions.

The Real Thing
Playwright: Tom Stoppard
Director: Sam Gold
Synopsis: A writer has an affair with the wife of an actor performing in his play about adultery.

Off-Broadway: Laura Pels Theatre

Bad Jews
Playwright: Joshua Harmon
Director: Daniel Aukin
Synopsis: Tells the story of Daphna Feygenbaum, a 'Real Jew' with an Israeli boyfriend she met on Birthright. When Daphna's cousin Liam brings home his shiksa girlfriend Melody and declares ownership of their grandfather's Chai necklace, a vicious brawl over family, faith and legacy ensues.
Cast: Tracee Chimo (Daphna), Molly Ranson (Melody), Philip Ettinger (Jonah) and Michael Zegen (Liam).

Cutie And Bear
Playwright: Bekah Brunstetter
Director: Evan Cabnet
Synopsis: A married man and financially strapped young woman begin a purely uncomplicated relationship that becomes anything but.
