Rick Faugno Joins Cast of Revolution in the Elbow
It has been reported that Jersey Boys alumni Rick Faugno has joined previously announced cast members Cady Huffman and Kate Shindle in the world premiere of Revolution in the Elbow of Ragnar Agnarsson Furniture Painter at the Minetta Lane Theatre off-Broadway, which begins performances on 31 July ahead of an official opening on 13 August 2014.
This new musical is based on a story by Ívar and Gunnlaugur Jónsson and features a book, music and lyrics by Ívar Páll Jónsson. The show answers the hypothetical question, "have you ever wondered what's going on inside your elbow?" Described as an 'emotionally charged rock love story', the musical explores a love triangle set in Elbowville, a small community within Ragnar Agnarsson's body. Elbowville mayor Manuela must deal with a crisis when a prosperity machine compromises the peace of the sweet little community.
Faugno originated the role of Frankie Valli in the Las Vegas production of Jersey Boys and has appeared on Broadway in 'The Will Rogers Follies', 'Wonderful Town', 'Conversations With My Father' and 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'. Tony Award winner Cady Huffman's Broadway credits include 'The Producers', 'The Nance', 'Steel Pier' and 'La Cage aux Folles'. Kate Shindle recently appeared on Broadway in 'Wonderland', and has also starred in 'Legally Blonde', 'Cabaret' and 'Jekyll & Hyde'.
The full cast of Revolution in the Elbow of Ragnar Agnarsson Furniture Painter includes Michael Biren, Patrick Boll, Zach Cossman, Karli Dinardo, Danielle Kelsey, Graydon Long, Brad Nacht, Marrick Smith and Jesse Wildman.
The musical will feature choreography by Lee Proud, set and projection design by Petr Hloušek, lighting design by Jeff Croiter and Cory Pattak, sound design by Carl Casella and costumes by Hrafnhildur Arnardottir.
