It would have played after 27 previews and 356 performances. The play opened at the Walter Kerr Theatre on 27 Feb 2003, following previews 4 Feb 2003, after playing at London's Donmar Warehouse and The Public Theater in 2002. Directed by Joe Mantello, the play features Daniel Sunjata, Denis O'Hare, Neal Huff, Myk Watford, Kevin Carroll, Anthony Joseph De Santis , Maximillian Alexander, Robert M. Jim�nez, Joe Lisi, Shane McRae, James Yaegash. Take Me Out tests the underbelly of America's most beloved sport, baseball. Darren Lemming, a young iconic baseball star is at the top of his game, professionally and personally. He decides to call a press conference that results in a shocking admission to the waiting media. Take Me Out chronicles the fall-out, as the ripples of his actions spread through the team, the media and across the nation.
