Rated P for Parenthood: cast announced
Producers Andrew Asnes and Timothy Schmidt have announced the complete casting for the previously announced New York Premiere of the new musical comedy Rated P for Parenthood, opening at the Westside Theatre Upstairs on 26 Feb 2012, following previews from 8 Feb 2012.
The cast will feature Courtney Balan, Chris Hoch, David Josefsberg, Joanna Young.
With book and lyrics by Sandy Rustin, music and lyrics by Dan Lipton & David Rossmer and direction by Jeremy Dobrish, Rated P for Parenthood chronicles every stage of modern-day parenting, from conception to college, with giant doses of heart and humor. A versatile cast of four takes the audience through the ups and downs of childrearing - from the sublime to the ridiculous - in a series of comic and musical vignettes in under 90 minutes.
The creative team includes Rachel Bress (Choreography), Steven Capone (Scenic Design), Emily DeAngelis (Costume Design), Michael Gottlieb (Lighting Design) and Jill BC DuBoff and David Sanderson (Sound Design).
The musical arrives Off-Broadway following it's world premiere in May 2011 at the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) in New Jersey.
