Remy, the Ratatouille, the rat of all our dreams, is coming to the stage, the virtual stage that is. The unofficial musical adaptation of the Disney/Pixar film exploded on TikTok, and now those same social media creators along with Seaview Productions are bringing a virtual production of the musical to screens around the world on New Year's Day.

"Finding new outlets for creative collaboration has never been more imperative than it is right now," producer Greg Nobile said in a statement. "We can't wait to share what these remarkable creators have dreamt up which will now allow them to benefit other artists through the vital work of The Actors Fund."

The musical gained traction on TikTok over the course of the fall, with users creating original songs, sets, costumes, programs, and more. Many of the TikTok creators will be involved in the virtual presentation as well.

"It has been magical to watch the TikTok community create and embrace the #RatatouilleMusical," Lizzy Hale, Senior Manager of Content, TikTok US said in a statement. "From @e_jaccs' original ode to Remy to @shoeboxmusicals' set designs, seeing the endless creativity of the platform and the wider community rallying around it has inspired and driven a new forum for theater lovers to express themselves, participate, and enjoy the show. In a year where we saw Broadway close, the TikTok community brought musical fans together virtually with one of the most unique trends we have ever seen on platform."

Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical is adapted for this virtual benefit event by Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley, choreographed by Ellenore Scott and directed by Lucy Moss. Music is by Danny Bernstein, Gabbi Bolt, Kevin Chamberlin, RJ Christian, Nathan Fosbinder, Emily Jacobsen, Sophia James, Katie Johantgen, Daniel Mertzlufft, Alec Powell and Blake Rouse. The 20-piece Broadway Sinfonietta orchestra will also perform.

A cast of Broadway stars will also feature in Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical, with casting to be announced.

The streamed event will be presented in associate with TikTok and TodayTix Presents, and tickets will be available exclusively on TodayTix, with pay-what-you-can prices starting at $5.
