Primary Stages 2014/2015 Season Completes Casting

Primary Stages has announced casting for its upcoming 30th season of new works: the world premiere of Billy Porter's While I Yet Live, directed by Sheryl Kaller; and the New York premiere of Theresa Rebeck's Poor Behaviour, directed by Sheryl Kaller.

Unlike their previous seasons which have been staged at 59E59 Theater A, this new season will see Primary Stages take up residence at The Duke on 42nd Street.

Opening the 2014-2015 season is the New York premiere of Theresa Rebeck's new comedy Poor Behaviour. The cast will include Heidi Armbruster, Brian Avers, Jeff Biehl, and Katie Kressler.

Theresa Rebeck presents a devilish argument about infidelity and America in this new comedy about two couples spending a not-so-idyllic weekend in the country. The production will open on 17 August 2014, following previews from 29 July, and will run through 7 Sept 2014.

Directed by Evan Cabinet, the production will feature scenic design by Lauren Helpern, costume design by Jessica Pabst, lighting design by Jason Lyons and sound design by Jill BC Du Boff.

Primary Stages continues the season with the world premiere of Billy Porter's While I Yet Live, directed by Sheryl Kaller. Billy Porter's newest work explores coming of age in Pittsburgh amongst a bevy of fascinating and strong-willed women.

The production opens on 12 Oct 2014, following previews from 23 Sep 2014, and runs through 31 Oct 2014. It will star Elain Graham, Susan Heyward, S. Epatha Merkerson, Kevyn Morrow, Sharon Washington, Lillias White, and Larry Powell. The full creative team includes scenic design by Adam Koch, costume design by ESosa, lighting design by Kevin Adams and sound design by Leon Rothernberg.

The season will conclude with Lives of the Saints, a new collection of short plays by David Ives, directed by John Rando. Casting and further details for this production are yet to be announced.
