Petite Rouge at 45th Street Theatre

Petite Rouge, book, music and lyrics by Joan Cushing, at 45th Street Theatre from 25 Sep - 6 Oct 2007, as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Petite Rouge: Updates the classic tale of Little Red Riding Hood, sending the plucky heroinenow a red-robed little duckand her 'fraidy cat friend Te Jean on a perilous journey through the Louisiana swamp. Along the way the pair tangle with a Big Bad Gator, who's out to plop the two into his next batch of gumbo. Petite is no sitting duck, though, and leads her nemesis on a merry Mardi Gras chase through New Orleans.

Directed and choreographed by Michael J. Bobbitt, Petite Rouge features: Felicia Curry (Petite Rouge), Bobby Smith (Claude), Billy Bustamante, Cyana Cook, Tracy McMullan and L.C. Harden.

The design team comprises Reggie Ray (costumes), Alex Cooper (lighting) and Debbie Wicks La Puma (sound).
