Out of the Mouths of Babes at Cherry Lane Theatre
The Cherry Lane Theatre presents the world premiere of Israel Horovitz's new comedy Out of the Mouths of Babes, directed by Barnet Kellman, which will begins previews at the off-Broadway venue's mainstage on 7 June 2016, before an official opening on 19 June and a limited engagement through to 17 July 2016.
Synopsis: "Out of the Mouths of Babes depicts what happens when four women arrive in Paris for the funeral of a 100-year-old man who loved each of them - at times variously, at times simultaneously. For 24 hours, they share his apartment, delicious secrets, and a dead cat."
The cast of Out of the Mouths of Babes includes Oscar winner and 5-time Tony nominee Estelle Parsons, two-time Tony winner Judith Ivey, Angelina Fiordellisi and Francesca Choy-Kee.
The creative team features scenic design by Neil Patel, costume design by Joseph G. Aulisi, lighting desig by Paul Miller and sound design by Tony winner Leon Rothenberg.
Estelle Parsons earned her five Tony nominations for 'The Velocity of Autumn,' 'Morning's at Seven,' 'Miss Margarida's Way,' 'And Miss Reardon Drinks a Little,' and 'The Seven Descents of Myrtle.' She won an Oscar for "Bonnie and Clyde" and earned a further Oscar nomination for "Rachel, Rachel." TV credits include "Roseanne," "All in the Family," and "Archie's Place."
Judith Ivey won her Tony Awards for 'Hurlyburly' and 'Steaming,' and earned a further two Tony nominations for 'The Heiress' and 'Park Your Car in Harvard Yard.' She was last seen on the Great White Way in 'The Audience.' Her TV credits include "Designing Women" and "Nurse Jackie."
Angelina Fiordellisi is the Producing Artistic Director of Cherry Lane Theatre and is perhaps best known for her role in 'Zorba' on Broadway and on national tour. Other theatre credits include the national tour of 'Annie,' 'Nunsense,' 'Catch the Butcher' and 'Snow Orchid.'
Francesca Choy-Kee is perhaps best known for her recent Broadway role in 'Disgraced.'
