Welcome, agents! Operation Mincemeat on Broadway will welcome a new cast this spring at the Golden Theatre.
Casting announcements were initially made on a rolling basis via the show's official social media accounts. The new principal cast includes three current understudies: Brandon Contreras as Charles Cholmondeley and others, Jessi Kirtley as Jean Leslie and others, and Amanda Jill Robinson as Johnny Bevan and others. New to the cast are 2025 Tony Award nominee Julia Knitel (Dead Outlaw) as Ewen Montagu and others and Jeff Kready (Masquerade) as Hester and others.
As previously announced, the show's full original cast — David Cumming (as Charles Cholmondeley), Claire-Marie Hall (as Jean Leslie), Natasha Hodgson (as Ewen Montagu), Jak Malone (as Hester), and Zoë Roberts (as Johnny Bevan) — will depart on February 22. All five originated their roles in the show's Oliver Award-winning London premiere and reprise them on Broadway.
Gerianne Pérez and Sam Hartley will continue as understudies, newly joined by Robert Ariza, Allison Guinn, and Lexi Rabadi.
Co-written by the comedy troupe SpitLip (Cumming, Felix Hagan, Hodgson, and Roberts), Operation Mincemeat dramatizes the wild true story of a World War II mission involving a disguised corpse that turned the tide in favor of the Allies. The production was nomination for four 2025 Tony Awards, with Malone taking home the Best Featured Actor prize.
