All five actors will make their Broadway debuts in Operation Mincemeat. The show premiered in London 2019 and made its West End debut in 2023, winning the 2024 Olivier Award for Best New Musical.
Operation Mincemeat is named for a real-life World War II mission — one that's almost unbelievable. A covert operation involving a stolen corpse turned the tides for the Allies in 1943.
The musical is created by the comedy troupe SpitLip, consisting of Cumming, Hodgson, Roberts, and Felix Hagan. Robert Hastie directs, and Jenny Arnold choreographs.
