UPDATE: The complete cast of Ohio State Murders also includes Mister Fitzgerald, Abigail Stephenson, Brett Diggs, Brooke Gardner, Christina Pedersen, and Gayle Samuels.

The Broadway premiere of Ohio State Murders has set additional casting ahead of its first performances in November. Adrienne Kennedy's play begins performances November 8 ahead of a December 11 opening night.

Tony nominee Bryce Pinkham has been cast as Robert Hampshire; he will assume the role after playing a six-week engagement in Little Shop of Horrors off Broadway, from September 7 to November 6. Additionally, Lizan Mitchell returns to Broadway for the first time since 1998, playing Mrs. Tyler, Miss Dawson, and Aunt Lou in Ohio State Murders. This past season, she appeared in On Sugarland and Cullud Wattah off Broadway.

Pinkham and Mitchell join the previously announced Audra McDonald as Suzanne Alexander. McDonald is the most Tony-winning actress in Broadway history with six awards, and she was last seen on Broadway in 2019's Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune.

Additional casting has yet to be announced.

The creative team has also been set, including set designer Beowulf Boritt, lighting designer Allen Lee Hughes, costume designer Dede Ayite, sound designer Justin Ellington, and projection designer Jeff Sugg.

In Ohio State Murders, Suzanne, a professor, returns to her alma mater to give a lecture on violence in her work. While there, she encounters a sinister, racist force of real-life violence. The show marks Kennedy's Broadway debut as a playwright; the 91-year-old has long been an Off-Broadway fixture with award-winning works like Funnyhouse of a Negro, June and Jean in Concert, and Sleep Deprivation Chamber.

Ohio State Murders will be the first production to reopen the newly renovated and renamed James Earl Jones Theatre, formerly the Cort Theatre.
