Menzel stars in this musical drama as Jesse, a woman who experiences an earth-shattering loss and leaves her life in New York behind in search of a fresh start. She finds herself in the California redwood forests, where she meets two environmental scientists who teach her the ways of nature and, within it, a path toward comfort and healing.
The Tony Award-winning actress, known for her Broadway performances in Wicked and Rent, makes her Broadway writing debut with Redwood. She co-created the show with Tina Landau (book, lyrics, direction) and Kate Diaz (music and lyrics).
