MTC presents Fulfillment Center off-Broadway
The Manhattan Theatre Club presents the world premiere of Abe Koogler's new play Fulfillment Center, directed by Daniel Aukin, which will begin previews at The Studio at Stage II at New York City Center on 6 June 2017, before an official opening on 20 June.
Synopsis: "In the New Mexico desert, a down-on-her-luck folk singer takes a job at a giant online retailer's shipping center. Her young manager struggles to connect with his girlfriend newly relocated from New York. And a drifter living at a local campground dangerously links them all. Raw, surprising, and funny, this world premiere is about four lonely lives coming together in the search for fulfillment."
Deirdre O'Connell will star as Suzan in the production, with additional casting and creative team information to be released at a later date. Ms O'Connell has appeared on the Great White Way in 'Magic/Bird' and 'The Front Page.' Her many off-Broadway credits include 'By the Water,' 'In the Wake,' 'Circle Mirror Transformation,' 'Fugue,' 'Manic Flight Reaction,' 'Spatter Pattern (Or, How I Got Away With It),' 'Cavedweller,' 'The Dream Express,' 'Moe's Lucky Seven,' 'Three Birds Alighting on a Field,' and 'Tis Pity She's a Whore,' among others.
