MTC announces extension for Fulfillment Center
The Manhattan Theatre Club has announced a 1-week extension for its current world premiere production of Abe Koogler's Fulfillment Center, directed by Daniel Aukin, which began previews at the Studio at Stage II at New York City Center on June 6, 2017, and officially opened on June 20. The limited engagement will now close on July 16, 2017 (instead of July 9).
Synopsis: "In the New Mexico desert, a down-on-her-luck folk singer takes a job at a giant online retailer's shipping center. Her young manager struggles to connect with his girlfriend newly relocated from New York. And a drifter living at a local campground dangerously links them all. Raw, surprising, and funny, this world premiere is about four lonely lives coming together in the search for fulfillment."
The cast of Fulfillment Center includes Deirdre O'Connell (as Suzan), Eboni Booth (as Madeleine), Bobby Moreno (as Alex) and Frederick Weller (as John).
The creative team behind Fulfillment Center has also been announced and features scenic design by Andrew Lieberman, costume design by Ásta Bennie Hostetter, lighting design by Pat Collins, and sound design by Ryan Rumery.
Deirdre O'Connell has appeared on the Great White Way in 'Magic/Bird' and 'The Front Page.' Her many off-Broadway credits include 'By the Water,' 'In the Wake,' 'Circle Mirror Transformation,' 'Fugue,' 'Manic Flight Reaction,' 'Spatter Pattern (Or, How I Got Away With It),' 'Cavedweller,' 'The Dream Express,' 'Moe's Lucky Seven,' 'Three Birds Alighting on a Field,' and 'Tis Pity She's a Whore,' among others.
