Emmy Award-winning actor Michael Imperioli will make his Broadway debut in An Enemy of the People this spring. He joins the previously announced Jeremy Strong, who returns to Broadway in the leading role of Henrik Ibsen's play.

Imperioli will play Peter Stockmann opposite Strong's Dr. Thomas Stockmann. Imperioli is best known for his performance as Christopher on The Sopranos, which earned him an Emmy Award, five additional nominations, and two Golden Globe nominations. More recently, he starred on the second season of The White Lotus, earning another Emmy nomination.

Complete casting has yet to be announced. The newly announced creative team includes scenic designer dots, costume designer David Zinn, lighting designer Isabella Byrd, and sound designer Mikaal Sulaiman.

The production has also newly announced dates and venue information. An Enemy of the People will play the Circle in the Square Theatre for 16 weeks only beginning February 27. Opening night is March 18.

Newly adapted by Pulitzer- and Tony-nominated playwright Amy Herzog and directed by Sam Gold, An Enemy of the People follows Dr. Thomas Stockmann as he exposes contaminated water in his spa town's baths. But instead of being hailed for saving lives, he becomes hated for ruining the town's reputation.
