Manhattan Theatre Club has announced a further addition to its 2018-2019 season with the world premiere of Continuity, a new comedy written by Lucille Lortel and Drama Desk Award nominee Bess Wohl and directed by Tony Award nominee Rachel Chavkin. Previews begin at The Studio at Stage II at New York City Center on May 7, 2019, before an official opening on May 21 and a limited engagement through to June 9, 2019.

Synopsis: "A sheet of ice sits in the desert of New Mexico. A mad eco-terrorist plants a bomb in order to save humankind. A beleaguered film crew tries to get in one last shot before losing the light. Continuity is a sly, biting comedy in six takes where storytelling and science collide with both hilarious and devastating consequences. The play asks, "How do we keep going when hope can seem as fictional as a Hollywood ending?" "How do we tell the stories that could shape our future?" and, perhaps most importantly, "What's for lunch?""

Casting and further creative team information for the production will be announced at a later date.

Bess Wohl is perhaps best known for her acclaimed play Small Mouth Sounds. Her other works include American Hero, Barcelona, Touched, In, Cats Talk Back, Pretty Filthy, and The Civilians.

Manhattan Theatre Club's 2018-2019 season also includes the previously announced productions of Richard Bean's The Nap and Tarell Alvin McCraney's Choir Boy at Broadway's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, as well as Jaclyn Backhaus' India Pale Ale at New York City Center Stage I.
