Man-Made at the Ohio Theater

Creation Production Company presents Man-Made, written and directed by Susan Mosakowski, opening at the Ohio Theater on 2 Mar 2008, following previews from 29 Feb and running through to 22 Mar 2008.

Man-Made: About the first bio-genetically engineered woman, Eugenie Doe.The drama takes us on an exploration of human evolution and adaptation channeled through the discoveries of Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace, the Creature in Mary Shelley's 'Frankenstein,' and finally to the current experiments in biotechnology. Survival is pitched against the rigid morality of the nineteenth century, and later in the twenty-first century when the tyranny of organized religion and corporate America threaten to halt science.

Man-Made features James Himelsbach as Charles Darwin, Bryant Bradshaw as The Creature, Kate Hall as Mary Shelley, Eva Patton as Emma Darwin, Richard Prioleau as Thursday, Michael Kevin Ryan as Alfred Russel Wallace and Amelia Workman as Eugenie Doe.

The creative team comprises Michael Casselli (sets), Dorothy Fennell (costumes), Pat Dignan (lighting) and Timothy Anderson (sound).
