Luna Sofía Miranda to star in world premiere of 'Girls Will Be Girls' off Broadway
Luna Sofía Miranda makes her stage debut as Scar, following her breakout role as Lulu in this year’s Oscar-winning Best Picture, Anora.
Girls Will Be Girls will make its world premiere off Broadway at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre next month. Performances will begin on July 17, with opening night on July 23.
Claire Mack's play is described as "a hilarious, evil feminist play" and follows three college girls as they violently reclaim their virginity over the course of one night.
Directed by Atticus Orsborn, the play will star Luna Sofía Miranda in her stage debut as Scar, following her breakout role as Lulu in this year’s Oscar-winning Best Picture, Anora. She will be joined by Charlie B. Foster (Soy Boy, Sparks, Scarpetta) as JJ and drama school graduate Chantae Miller as Mads. Her credits include the CBS TV series “Evil.”
The understudies are Declan Collins and Leah Getz.
The creative team has scenic and props design by Riw Rakkulchon, costume design by Kindall Almond, lighting design by Yichen Zhou, sound design by Florian Staab, and intimacy direction by Ann James.
