Lucille Lortel Awards: ceremony to be held 1 May 2011

The Ceremony for the 26th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway will be held on 1 May 2011 at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts.

This ceremony will once again be a benefit for The Actors Fund. In existence for more than 125 years, The Actors Fund is the only nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in the performing arts and entertainment. The Fund is a safety net, providing programs and services for those who are in need, crisis or transition.

The nominations for this years Award ceremony will be announced on 31 Mar 2011, which is the official date that the 2010 - 2011 Off-Broadway season ends.

The Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway were created in 1985 by the Off-Broadway League. The Lortel Awards recognize excellence Off-Broadway by honoring the contribution of artists to the theatre community.
